Alhamdulilah this has been clarified by the Imam a.s.
this is a draft translation:

In the name of God, the Merciful, the Beneficial
All praises are due to Allah, Lord of the ‘Alameen
And may Allah bless Muhammed and the family of Muhammed, the Imams and Mahdyeen and bless them with a goodly greeting
This is the declared stance of jurisprudence for music concerning the usage, listening or playing of instruments; according to what was clarified by Imam Ahmad Al-Hassan (as) from questions that were addressed to him.

The questions will be summarised into bullet points:

1. It is prohibited to strike or blow into a musical instrument.

This is (deduced) from Imam Ahmad Al-Hassan’s (as) answer to this question:
Q) “Is it permissible to go to a celebration for a wedding with only women attending, but there is singing and dancing in it?” (what follows):
A) “It is permissible if there is only women and no men listening; and also, if there is no prohibited[haram] acts there – such as the striking or blowing of musical instruments.”
Al-ajwub Al-fiqeya(The Answers of Jurisprudence) – part of the questions, manuscript.

2. The prohibited act is the listening of music but not the listening that is forced.

From the sayings of Imam Ahmad Al-Hassan (as) when answering questions with respect to music and songs, as follows:
“Music is prohibited, songs are prohibited, listening is prohibited – the listening that is intentional but not the listening that is unintentional; and the permissible is only drums of war, and blowing into a horn for announcements”
AlJJuwaab AlMuneer(The Illuminative Answers): part 3, Question number 251.

And he (as) was asked about the disagreement between the scholars on the permissibility of listening to the Classical genre, so he (as) responded:
“It is not permitted to listen to (this) music.”
AlJJuwaab AlMuneer(The Illuminative Answers): part 4, Question number 351.

And he (as) was asked about marriage and birth which raise and employ chants(nasheed) and music in them, as well as clapping and halahil1; so the response was:
A) “Permissible is the clapping of hands, but for halahil1 of women it is permitted in front of women but not permitted in front of men except if they are mahaaram2. Also it is Haram to listen to music.”
Al-ajwub Al-fiqeya(The Answers of Jurisprudence) – part of the questions, manuscript.

3. On the Music which is Haram to use and listen to; it is the music of singing, and joyfulness, and the like from the entertainment that is circulating today in abundance among the people of earth but not repudiated.

And here is the question and his (as) answer on this matter:
Q) “What is the ruling on using music that is depicted in films?”
A) "As for Music, if the Music was songs with singing or the likes then it cannot be used, but if it was Soundtracks for the purpose of showing that the scene is sad or worrisome or scary etc. then it is acceptable, meaning it is acceptable to use soundtracks in a movie."
Al-ajwub Al-fiqeya(The Answers of Jurisprudence) – part of the questions, manuscript.

4. There are sounds issued from equipment and electronics which accomplish composition/synthesis and the benefits from them for qasakid3 and anasheed4.

Knowledge of this ruling became clear from reading the question and answer which follow:
Q) “We work in the production of qasakid and anasheed pertaining to the blessed Call(da’awa) and we want [to make] official what sound effects are allowed to be used; such as drums, horns and clapping, or orchestral sounds or the piano .. the stringed musical instruments resulting from the piano and not a stringed instrument itself or through a computer device, so what is the ruling on this?”
Here is his (as) answer:
A) “The sound of clapping, drums and horns which are used for announcements such as if it were in war or close to it(war), the usage is permitted. And sounds that are issued from electronic devices are permitted likewise if it does not associate with the image of joyful entertainment; and examples on what is permitted from them is that they be sounds such as raindrops or whistling wind or war drum sounds or sad sounds ... etc. There is no choice but to avoid anything that is popular kinds [of sounds] or recitations(inshaad) that are exploited commonly by the people of immorality, entertainment and joyfulness until when it is devoid of music or sound effects.”
Al-ajwub Al-fiqeya(The Answers of Jurisprudence) – part of the questions, manuscript.

That was a summary presentation of a few of the questions pertaining to music, [a subject] which has ordeals in it, I request Allah that His believing(mo’mineen) worshippers benefit from it; and all praises are due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
A preparation of Sheikh ‘Alaa Al-salim

1. Halahil: Trilling cries of joy uttered by women during festival or wedding occasions or nuptial celebrations
2. For women, a mahram male is a: father, son, paternal uncle, maternal uncle, nephew, foster-mother's husband, foster-brother, father-in-law, step-son and son-in-law.
These are 3 categories: blood relatives, in-laws and those that become related by foster care. Maharams are not allowed to marry each other, women are permitted to not wear hijab in front of maharam men (and now according to this ruling, women are only allowed to do halahil in front of men who are mahram).
3. Qasida (plural:qasakid): long Arab poem built in classic structure.
VerbAce-Pro – Arabic-English Dictionary
4. Anasheed (plural): Islamic vocal music that is either sung a cappella or accompanied by percussion instruments such as the daff.

Assalamu'alaikum wr wb

Hello Brother/Sister, I'm new to this forum
I would like to ask the ansar about the music is being haram,
I read in the other topic music is permissible for soundtrack,
But i still confuse about the soundtrack itself,
because to make a soundtrack you must have an influence to the music (correct me if i'm wrong)
So, my point is, is it permissible to learn about instrument(guitar, piano, or instrument for making soundtrack etc.)?

Forgive me for my shortcoming
